Cardiff City attacker, Andy Campbell could be out of action for a while with a hernia.

The £1million man who joined the Bluebirds from Middlesbrough last season is likely to need an operation which will see him out of first team affairs for several weeks. Experts will examine Campbell within the next few days to confirm whether or not he needs an operation.

Robert Earnshaws' excellent form as seen Campbell struggle to get back into Citys' starting XI, but he has still made 34 appearances for the Bluebrids this season, 14 of which have been from the start.

Fortune-West is also out injured at the moment which could mean Gavin Gordon will be given a chance in the City line-up. Gordon is eager to impress Lawrence, and has got himself back in contention following an superb brace of goals against TNS in the FAW Premier Cup during mid-week, and a late header against AFC Bournemouth in the LDV Vans Trophy earlier in the season.
