One point and we are down to 11th place....

Behind it

CARDIFF CITY 1 v STOKE CITY 1 It was a better performance of late and ended a losing streak but let's face facts Dave Jones' "six cup finals" have produced one point this far! The fans are deserting the cause and it looks like everybody is in holiday mood and thinking about next season...

The club have now dropped to 11th place in the table after being six points clear at the top, and as we now look towards our fifth year in the championship is it about time we started to achieve something or become resigned to our position as a second level club.  Dave Jones has done a good job but his constant moaning and some silly remarks let him down... He said earlier this week that two wins out of the last four games could be enough to sneak into the playoffs (!!) - after studying the tables and the fixtures that wasn't possible.

We have blown our finest chance of promotion to the top flight for nearly 50 years ourselves, nobody else is to blame but the team and the management - they were happy to take the plaudits when it was going well they should answer the questions as towhat went wrong now.  If another club had gone from clear at top to eleventh in half a season we'd be laughing. I'm not - we may never have a better chance.

  • Cardiff manager Dave Jones said after the Stoke game:
"I thought we deserved a point as we had most of the possession, but we must believe in the way we play. We are a young side and we have to think that the younger players will learn from their mistakes quickly. But if I don't think they will reach the level I require I won't hesitate to shift them out and bring new players in, this club will continue to grow."
