Pardew Sent Off - NUFC Getting A Name For Themselves

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew lost his head in the 72nd minute of the game against Hull City today and got sent off. Pardew appeared to be pushed aside by Meyler who went after the ball before going head to head with the Hull City player.

In completely unnecessary scenes, when Newcastle were 3-1 up against the home side. It isn’t the first time Pardew has got himself into trouble and we can only expect the FA to come down quite hard on him this time round, regardless of whether he apologies at the final whistle or not.

Newcastle are getting a name for failing to control their behaviour with several incidents in the last few seasons.

In September 2012 Pardew was sent to the stands, given a two match ban and fined £20,000 by the FA who charged him with improper conduct for pushing the linesman in their game against Tottenham Hotspur.

In January 2014 he narrowly escaped a touchline ban by swiftly apologising for verbally abusing Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini. He was issued a written warning by the FA who reminded him of his responsibilities as a Premier League manager.

Pardew isn’t the only person on the Newcastle United touchline to lose their cool. In March 2013 John Carver was charged with misconduct, fined £1000 and warned of his behaviour and in January 2014 the club was hit with a charge of misconduct after a scrap between Norwich City and Newcastle United. Newcastle picked up a £20,000 fine.
