Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton is on the verge of coming back from 2 months of injury after being named as a subsitute for today's match against Blackburn. He is joined by Steven Taylor, Jonas Gutierrez and Xisco. Meanwhile Kinnear has opted for Andy Carroll to partner Michael Owen upfront after he recovered from injury to manage 14minutes in midweek against Hull City in the FA Cup 3rd round.

And they should have left him on the bench. Fighting with everyone, getting an unnecessary yellow, getting on my wick, waste of blooody space today.
Why wasn't Jonas put on as soon as we went a goal down, infact why was he on the bench in the first place.

We rush guys back too quick from injury so often...having him on the bench accomplished nothing.
