Paul Ince has committed himself to Blackburn today after announcing he owes it to them. His employer of 3 games must have been concerned after the mounting speculation regarding Ince and the vacant managers post at St James' Park, because prior to today his only comment was to say he was flattered by the link, but that he refuses to comment on speculation.
Today, ahead of their match against Arsenal, he told the official Blackburn Rovers website:
"As I said at our pre-match press conference earlier today, I cannot control media speculation and nor do I normally choose to comment on it.
However, I feel I owe it to the club, the players and the supporters to say that I am very happy at Ewood Park. I am only a few weeks into the role and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience.
My only focus is Rovers and getting on with the job."
Odds on Ince dropped yesterday from 66/1 to 6/1 making him the 3rd favourite to take on the job.
