Today's 'Sunday People' is reporting that Dennis Wise is set to recruit former Chelsea team-mate Gianfranco Zola into the Newcastle mix to take on a scouting and recruitment role. He will be Dennis Wise's second addition to the backroom staff since being appointed as Director of Football at Newcastle United.

The People.co.uk report that Zola who is currently assistant coach of Italy's Under 21 side will take the job and remain based in Italy so not to deter from him current commitments.

Wise (pictured above with Zola in their playing days at Chelsea) has reported that he will predominately be based at the London office of friend Tony Jimenez, who was this week appointed as Vice President of Newcastle taking responsibility of player recruitment, though Newcastle officials have said he (Wise) will be based mainly at St James' Park.

Newcastle signed former Atlanta teenager Fabio Zamblera in the final hours of the transfer window last Thursday - the 17 year old Italian plays in the under 18 international team, perhaps with Zola signing for Newcastle more youngesters of his calibre will be joining the club.

Zamblera never made a 1st team appearence for Atlanta but comes highly recommended by talent scouts who specialise in young emerging players.
