NF: We Can Do A Reading

Ipswich Town striker Nicky Forster believes Town can do what his former side Reading have done this year, next season.

Reading missed out on the play-offs last season but stormed to promotion and the championship title this season, and if Town can stop leaking goals and avoid injuries next season Forster feels Town can do the same.

 

Forster: “I am not surprised at the success my former club has enjoyed.

 

“I could see the seeds being sown last campaign, and Ipswich have shown similar promise this year.

 

“Reading have built on a strong defence and their priority under Steve Coppell has been to prevent goals.

 

“This time around they have clicked up front as well with Bobby Convey coming up from nowhere and Glen Little making a big impression.

 

“And, very importantly, they have generally been injury-free.”
