Town goalkeeper Shane Supple says if Town don’t get promoted this year they will be right in the mix next season.

Town have been in fairly good form since the start of the New year having lost just twice, a run that had lifted them to the brink of the play-offs, but a more recent wobble has seen them drop away again but Shane feels if Town can’t make it this year they will be close next year.

 

Supple: “We are not writing off our chances for the Play-Offs this year but if we don't make it, I reckon we will be right up there next season, we have so many young players that have been bloodied in the Championship this year and they will all be better for that experience next season.

 

“With the older players we have in the side as well - people like Bam Bam, Alan Lee, Fabian and Jason, it looks a good blend for the future.

 

“Injuries and suspensions have hit us hard this year but you can see the gaffer is developing a good squad with competition for places and there is no reason why we can't be one of the clubs looking for automatic promotion next year - if we don't make it this season.”
