Matt Wants To Sign

Ipswich Town midfielder Matt Richards says he wants to sign the new contract offered to him by Town as soon as possible.

Richards: “This is a brilliant club and this is where I want to play my football. My agent is discussing a deal with the chairman and I'm ready to sign once everything is sorted out.

 

“To be honest, I don't even know what length of contract they are talking about, but I don't envisage any problems.

 

“I've been with the club since I was 10 and full-time since I turned 16, so I think I would find it very strange if I went somewhere else!

 

“I was out of the side earlier in the season but not for a massive period, so I've never really thought about moving. Things have worked out well for me here.”
