Town Wanted Danny K

It has emerged today that Town manager Joe Royle tried to sign former Arsenal defender Danny Karbassiyoon before he joined Burnley.

Karbassiyoon spent three months of last season on-loan at Town before returning to Arsenal and being released in the summer and joining Burnley.

 

Town manager Joe Royle: “Danny made a big impression here and we did make a late enquiry about him in the summer.

 

“I would have loved to have brought him to the Club but at the time we did not quite have the funds available.”
