Jim Still Important

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle says that veteran midfielder Jim Magilton still has an important part to play for Town.

The 36-year-old midfielder will be leaving Town in the summer but in the four months he has left Joe says he has a big part to play.

 

Joe: “We are well stocked with midfielders but Jim still figures highly in my thoughts. I have every faith in him. He still has a great deal to offer, although in the next four months or so it might not be for 90 minutes and it might not be from the start.

 

“He is a wonderful person to have around the place and he has the ideal make-up to be a skipper. His hunger to play and his enjoyment at being on the field has seen him extend his playing career.

 

“Jim is an example to every young player and he has a big part to play as we look to move up the Championship table between now and the end of the season.”
