Lewis Hoping For Debut

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Lewis Price is hoping to finally make his full Wales debut at the fourth time of asking.

Price has already been forced to miss three games for Wales due to various injuries but he hopes to make his debut for John Toshack’s men against Cyprus next week if he is named in the squad.

 

Lewis: “If I'm included in the squad it would be fantastic to get a chance to make my debut - at last!

 

“I've been devastated to miss out before, particularly against the Irish. I picked up the injury on the Thursday before the game and had treatment right up until the Saturday morning but it wasn't to be.

 

“Missing out on my debut was bad enough but you don't get many chances to play against the other home nations and that made it even worse.

 

“Hopefully I will be included in the squad against Cyprus and get my opportunity to make my debut out there.”
