Forster Set For Return

Ipswich Town striker Nicky Forster will be on the bench for Town’s game against Crewe on Saturday if he trains ok tomorrow.

The 32-year-old striker had not been expected to return to action until Town play Reading in the middle of next month but he has trained today and should be in the squad for Saturday’s game but will only start on the bench.

 

Town manager Joe Royle: “Nicky will be in the squad for the weekend if he trains without any problems, he will only be on the bench though because he hasn't any football whatsoever for several weeks.”

 

Forster added: “There were one or two twinges but generally no problems, we will see how it goes tomorrow but it's all encouraging and it was good to be back training with the lads again.”
