Cole Linked

Chelsea striker Carlton Cole has joined the list of players that have been linked with a loan move to Portman Road.

It is believed that Chelsea turned down the request by Town to take the 21-year-old striker on-loan, Cole has been restricted to just a few appearances for the premiership champions but rather than sit on the bench he has gone out on-loan to Wolves, Charlton and Aston Villa to get some first team experience.

 

Charlton strikers Jay Bothroyd, Shaun Bartlett and Jonatan Johansson have also been linked with loan moves to Town after Town manager Joe Royle watched Charlton beat Hartlepool in carling cup last week.
