Team news and more ahead of Ipswich Town’s game against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road tonight.

QPR started the season with a 0-0 draw against newly promoted Hull City and will be keen to get a win in front of their own fans but they will have to do it with out Lee Cook who stretched his knee ligaments is out Ian Evatt as is Dean Sturridge is also out with a groin injury. Ian Holloway has doubts by the names of Marc Bircham and Dan Shittu with thigh and groin injuries respectively and both will face late fitness tests.

Town striker Dean Bowditch returns to the squad after recovering from a foot injury and he is joined in the squad by loan signing Mark Fish and new signing Sito Castro with Chris Casement dropping out while Jason De Vos will miss the game with two cracked ribs.

Town manager Joe Royle: "We've seen them pre-season and they look a solid unit, the fact that one of our former players, Georges Santos, is there adds some extra spice and Ian Holloway will have them fired up for sure.

"They have added a couple of players and got a decent point at the weekend but we've had a solid start ourselves and must look to build on that.

"You could argue we owe Rangers a result as well after they beat us at Portman Road last season. That defeat and the one against Watford a few days earlier contributed to us not finishing in the top two."

Town squad: Dean Bowditch, Darren Currie, Mark Fish, Nicky Forster, Owen Garvan, Kevin Horlock, Jimmy Juan, Jim Magilton, Dean McDonald, Richard Naylor, Sam Parkin, Jaime Peters, Lewis Price, Matt Richards, Sito Castro, Shane Supple, Ian Westlake, Fabian Wilnis.

Pre-match views from Ian Holloway unavailable at this time.
