Former Ipswich Town striker Darren Bent has thanked Towns' fans for their support over the years.
The 21-year-old came up though Town academy ranks before making his first team debut in 2001 against Helsingborgs IF in the UEFA Cup. Bent was back at Portman Road today to say his good byes before he takes a short break and starts training with Charlton.
Bent: It's going to feel funny joining up with the Charlton lads and pulling on a red shirt rather than a blue one after all my years at Ipswich, I've grown up at this Club and it's been my home since I was a kid. I've got some wonderful memories of playing at Portman Road and the fans have been brilliant to me in my time here and I'd like to thank them all for their support.
