Bench At Best For Dean

Ipswich town manager Joe Royle has confirmed that young winger/striker Dean McDonald will not start against Crewe.

Royle: “Dean has put in some good performances in the reserves lately and it's a reward for that, he will be on the bench at best. I know my team but I still want a little more time before finalising the subs.

“Dean's got a chance though. He's quick, exciting and goes past people, a bit of an old fashioned winger if you like.

“He's also a tough little cookie for someone who is not the biggest player around.”
