Ipswich Town are left fighting with Wigan for the final automatic promotion spot following the draw with Leeds yesterday.
Pablo Couņago was granted a rare start along with Lewis Price who replaced Kelvin Davis in goal as he was attending the birth of his son.
Shefki Kuqi gave Town the lead after 11 minutes but Leeds struck back a minute later the unmarked Matt Spring headed past Lewis Price to make it 1-1.
Leeds have nothing to play-for this season but worked hard to prevent Town from scoring a second goal but with the finishing of both sides far from impressive a 3rd goal looked unlikely at best.
Kevin Horlock fired over and Tommy Miller fired at Neil Sullivan for Town while for Leeds very little happened.
After half time there was a sense of urgency about the game but still the chances were missing from both side until the final minutes, Richard Naylor almost certainly stopped either Hulse or Moore from scoring when he cut out a low cross.
Darren Bent and Shefki Kuqi both fired wide will at the other end Rob Hulse skied his effort.
Darren Currie probably had the best chance of the game in stoppage time but some how sent the ball wide with almost an empty goal 8 yards in front of him.
Town can no longer catch Sunderland and will only over haul Wigan in second place if Wigan lose one game and Town win both.
