Ipswich Town have today revealed plans to erect a massive Television screen in the corner of Portman Road if Town get promoted.

Plans to erect a Highbury TV in the corner of the ground have been on hold to divert funds towards Joe Royle’s squad building but should Town reach the premier league and the £20million+ jackpot there will be one put up.

Town chief executive Derek Bowden confirmed this, saying: “We have been considering putting a large screen in the south-west corner of the stadium for some time but, even though we would be able to get one through one of our directors' companies, it would cost a six figure sum to put it up.

“We thought it would be better for Joe to use that money this season and wait and see if we in the Premier League next season and then look at erecting one.”
