Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle believes Town were good value for all three points but feels Town should have had a second penalty.

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle believes Town were good value for all three points but feels Town should have had a second penalty.

Royle: “Plymouth gave it a real go and will take points off teams at home but I felt we were well worth the win, it was a great response by the players after the West Ham defeat and apart from a sloppy goal right at the end, we defended properly and Kelvin hardly had a save to make.

“We should have had a penalty in the first-half as well when Westy went down under a challenge.

“It was a blatant penalty and I couldn't believe it wasn't given. I had a word with the referee and he said he didn't see it that way which surprised me to say the least.

“Benty's was a definite penalty as well and in some cases the 'keeper would have been sent-off but in the end we got the three points we deserved.”
