Jim Ok To Play

Ipswich Town captain Jim Magilton is fit to play against Preston North End at Portman road tomorrow after over coming a knee injury.

The 35 year old midfielder had to watch Saturday’s draw with Watford from the bench and missed training this week and looked likely to miss Saturday’s game against Watford.

Joe Royle has now confirmed he will be ok for Saturday, saying: “Jim trained this morning and he looks fine, he has been troubled by a sore knee during the week but it's improved and he's in the squad for the Preston game.

“Jim's a big player for us but that would have been his third game in a week and he needed a rest.”
