Fab: Disappointed After Red

Ipswich Town defender Fabian Wilnis is disappointed to be missing the next three games after his red card against Plymouth on Saturday.

Wilnis will miss tonight’s game against Reading, Sundays game away at Coventry City and next Saturdays home game against Burnley because of his suspension and the 31 year old hopes its last time he has to watch from the stands.

Wilnis has said: “I'm really down about it.

“It's a big game, they are top and we are joint second in the table and it should be a cracking match but I will be watching from the stands and that's very disappointing, obviously.

“I didn't think it was a straight red but I had already been booked so I can have no complaints about the decision against Plymouth.

“It's the first time I have been sent-off for Ipswich and the first time I have had a straight red in my career.

“I was sent-off when I was at NAC Breda but that was for two yellows, so it's an unwanted first for me and hopefully it will be the last time I will see red at Ipswich as well.”.
