Bent Lose Goal
The football league has confirmed that Ipswich Town striker Darren Bent’s effort that lead to the first goal against wolves last Monday was an own goal.
A spokesman for the football league said that: “We had to slow down the video
dramatically and we have notified both clubs that it was an own goal.
“It
looks as though the ball came off the Wolves No. 6 Jody Craddock and that is why
it bobbled slowly over the line.”.
Darren is now on only 2 goals for the season for Ipswich, but he made up for his lost goal by scoring for the England under 21 side against Austria last night.
