Town goalkeeper Shane Supple says he is frustrated after being forced to withdraw from the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for their games against England and Sweden next week. Shane: "I was down to play a half so it's really frustrating that I had to pull out, I felt some pain in my shoulder when I threw a ball and after having a scan our physio said there was no alternative but to drop out of the squad.
"It's a muscle problem and I need to rest it and get treatment here at Ipswich. Injuries are part of the game, I know that, but it's bad timing for me.
"Hopefully I will get another chance though. Being named in the squad has given me a real lift. It's my first call-up at U21s and while I know I'm not playing first-team football at the moment, it's the same case with the other young Irish 'keepers so places are up for grabs."
