Bruce On Standby

Town defender Alex Bruce is on standby for the Republic of Ireland squad for their European Championship qualifiers later this month. The Republic take on Germany next weekend and Cyprus on the 17th. Bruce is eligible to play for the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and England but choose to play for the Republic. He made his debut for the Republic in May this year.

Ed Upson has also received an international call up this week, Upson has been called into the England under19 squad for their games against Iceland and Romania.
