De Vos: We Deserved More

Town captain Jason De Vos feels Town deserved more then a defeat against Sunderland earlier today.

De Vos: “We did enough to have least come away with a point, we dominated possession in the second-half and had a few chances but just couldn't take them.

 

“The lads are very disappointed to leave with nothing because our performance deserved more. I felt a draw is the least we deserved.”

 

“It was probably the worst conditions I have experienced in English football.

 

“I have played in worst abroad but over here, that was the toughest. The wind was a massive factor on the game. When the ball was in the air, it was impossible to gauge where it was going to go.

 

“The pitch wasn't great either so combined with the wind, it made things very difficult.

 

“We knew what to expect because we flew up here. The wind caused problems on take-off and landing. It was a real rollercoaster ride - but nowhere near as much fun!”
