Team news ahead of Newcastle’s FA Cup clash against Championship opponents Southampton.

Celestine Babayaro begins his 2 match ban so is unavailable.

Amdy Faye has returned from the African Cup of Nations so is available for selection, as is Micheal Chopra and Alberto Luque.

For Saints, Marian Pahars could play and Oakley and Kosowski should be OK to play in midfield as Andrew Surman, Grzegorz Rasiak and Richard Chaplow are all cup tied.

The captain, Claus Lundekvam, is struggling with a rib injury.
