Emre Latest - Will he play for Turkey?

Despite being sidelined with a hamstring injury since Newcaste's home deafeat to Manchester United, recent signing Emre Belozoglu is keen to play for Turkey in a friendly against Germany.

Toon boss Graeme Souness is not keen for Emre to face Germany, although may give permission for the midfielder to play in Turkey's World Cup qualifier agaisnt Albania shortly after.

SOUNESS: "I've had a talk with him and his adviser.

"If he stays here and trains well without any trouble and Turkey's game against Albania in 10 days' time is still important then I will let him travel.

"In my opinion the friendly against Germany comes too early.

"He is a big player for us, someone we cannot fool around with."
