Still a Chance for Emre

Although the Emre deal may have seemed dead in the water for Newcastle, the midfielder has stated he still wants a Premiership move.

The 24-year-old has been a target for Everton and Newcastle, but after fans were told by Emre’s agent that a decision would be made by last week, the deal seems to have gone belly up.

 

But Emre’s latest quotes may give some hope to waiting fans – although after it appeared he would choose Newcastle, revelations that he wants to play in Europe could tempt him to Everton.

 

Emre said:

 

"I am most likely to play in England.

 

"My name comes up in the news with Fenerbahce but I think returning to Turkey is taking a step back.

 

"My priority is to play in Europe. It is not about money, if it was I would stay with Inter."
