Southampton boss Harry Redknapp has dismissed reports whiched linked him with a January move for Newcastle United's Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer.
It was also reported that the new Saints boss was interested in Birmingham City's Robbie Savage, but Redknapp is more likely to loan players, rather than buy them when the transfer window opens.
Dyer, Bowyer and Savage were linked with Southampton over the weekend, but Redknapp told the club's official website: "Have you seen the wages these players earn, it is incredible!
"We could never afford to pay them. But I do have a few ideas of who I want."
