Rangers' defender Marvin Andrews comments on the future of Jean-Alain Boumsong, saying that he wouldn't be surprised at all if he (Boumsong) was to walk out on the club.
The Glasgow club crashed out of the Uefa Cup last night at Ibrox as Auxerre, a club Boumsong once played for, beat them 2-0. One point would have given Rangers entry to the next round.
Newcastle had several bids (One a player-swap, two cash offers) for the Frence international turned down yesterday, but Marvin Andrews said: "I would really like Boumsong to stay but it is his choice and he has to do what is best for himself and his family.
"I will support his decision whatever he does. I did not know that Newcastle had made a bid for him and I do not know if Jean-Alain did either.
"I cannot say that was the reason for the way he performed. The only person who can stop the speculation now is Jean-Alain."
