Charles N'Zogbia is still being refused the chance to seal a move to St James' Park, by current club La Havre, who are still arguing with Newcastle over a compensation fee for the player - after Newcastle lured the young ace to club in the summer.

Le Havre officials were extremely infuriated in the summer when the deal was confirmed, as N'Zogbia still had plently of time left on his contract.  In fact, he was secure at the club until 2006 on an education contract.

However, Newcastle were able to snap up the starlet as the player was not tiedd down by a professional contract.

Both Fifa and the French Football Federation allowed the move to take place, despite complaints from Le Havre, who have since called upon the help of the Court of Arbitration for Sport to try and secure compensation for N'Zogbia.  The Court have sided with the French side.

If Newcastle wish to keep the winger, they will need to agree a fee with Le Havre - but as yet, nothing has been agreed and N'Zogbia's future isn't yet secured.

Le Havre chairman Jean-Pierre Louvel doesn't feel that an agreement will be reached anytime soon and said:

"I can tell you the negotiations have few chances to reach a successful conclusion."
