Newcastle midfielder Jermaine Jenas wants his side to go all out this season in an attempt to win some 'serious silverware'.

Speaking to the official site, Jenas is quoted:

"It was nice to win a penalty shootout, never mind a trophy!

"We were due a win in penalties sooner or later, and thankfully for us it came in Hong Kong. We got the cup at the end as well which was nice, so hopefully we can get our hands on some serious silverware in the coming season.

"Overall I think the trip has been beneficial for us. We've worked hard in training and all had a good run-out in the two games, so the match fitness and general fitness is coming along nicely.

"It was also tough with the heat and humidity, but while we're all tired and worn out now I'm sure we'll see the benefits in the long run.

"The games start to get a little bit tougher now over the next couple of weeks or so, we have some friendly games against big opposition and we'll look forward to them."
