Gary Speed is as good as gone now, but is Nicky Butt the right person to replace him with? Butt cannot even displace Phil Neville from Manchester United's starting line up so is he really that good?

During the last few games of the season, Lee Bowyer started in his preferred position and he netted the goals to prove that he has no serious rival for that position.

Jermaine Jenas had a poor start to the season but gradually picked up his game and the pair began to look top class against arsenal at Higbury (barring the penalty cock up).

The logical thing to do, would be to play Jenas and Bowyer in the middle as opposed to Butt and JJ, Butt and Dyer, or Butt and Bowyer.
