Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce is flattered but "embarrassed" by recent rumours linking him with Newcastle United and Manchester United. Jimmy Walker

BRUCE ALMIGHTY?

Bruce said, "I have seen (Birmingham owner) Mr (David) Sullivan's quotes about Manchester United, Newcastle, England and it is quite flattering.

"I get a bit embarrassed by all that. I just want to get on with the job that I've got. I am happy where I am at Birmingham City.

"Of course, you can never say never. If England came knocking then it does turn your head - but I'm very happy at St Andrews.

"I have really enjoyed my two-and-a-half years here and I believed I have just started here. I hope I have just started here.

"I do believe we have made great strides and I want to continue the work that I have started."
