The match takes place at Lansdowne Road on 18th February and Brian Kerr has named the Magpies pair as part of his 23-man squad.

Given will battle it out with Sheffield United goalkeeper Paddy Kenny for the keeper shirt. "I have spoken to Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock and his assistant, the former Irish international forward David Kelly, and both have given Kenny glowing reports," said Kerr.

"I need an experienced keeper as cover for Shay Given. The player has been out for three months this year with a thigh injury but he has always been determined to play for Ireland and has been back in goal for his club since January."
