Would you put your body (and face) on the line for the sake of Newcastle United? Defender Andy O'Brien certainly would, after walking away from last weekend's Old Trafford clash bruised and battered!

O'BRIEN LOVES UNITED!

Last summer, O'Brien needed surgery to repair the damaged caused when he twice broke his nose (the 2nd time so badly during the 1-0 derby victory over Sunderland on 26 April that the bleeding did not stop for several hours).
Having earned a place in the side ahead of Titus Bramble last weekend, Yorkshireman O'Brien is now going to allow regular bumps get in the way of his career.
"I think it's been over-exaggerated - if I take another bang on it that I wouldn't be able to play again," he said.
"The operation was a bit of an ordeal, and I said I hoped I wasn't going to take too many more bangs on it.
"But it takes some breaking. I don't know if they did anything during the operation, but the bleeding is 100% better than it was.
"With the blow I took, it could have bled severely - and obviously if there's bleeding you're not allowed to play. But it stopped straightaway, and I was pleased about that"
He added: "You take bangs - it's part and parcel of it.
"But there are plenty of serious injuries that you can get on the football field -and a whack in the face every so often, you'd take that."
