UNITED IN EUROPE

This has been brought to our attention through The Evening Chronicle.

Newcastle had a dramatic campaign in Europe last season - and the highs and lows are being displayed in an exhibition of Chronicle photographs.

Following a poor start, the Magpies somehow managed to make it to the second stage of the Champions' League.

The exhibition, "United in Europe", will "evoke" the emotions of those who watched Craig Bellamy's late, late goal against Feyenoord which secured win to see Newcastle United into the second knockout stage.

Memories of the 2-0 away defeat by Dynamo Kiev will also be re-lived.

Chronicle deputy picture editor Nigel Dobson said: "The exhibition will bring memories flooding back for those who were there and offer a fascinating insight to those who couldn't make it."

The exhibition is at the Discovery Museum, Blandford Square, Newcastle. It is open Monday to Saturday, 10am-5pm and Sundays 2pm-5pm.
