Newcastle United midfielder Lee Bowyer is definitely out of Newcastle's Boxing Day trip to Leicester.

Bowyer returned to training this week after a hip problem, but boss Sir Bobby Robson does not want to take any risks. Robson has admitted that Bowyer is around a fortnight away from a full fitness return, making him a doubt for the whole Christmas fixture schedule.

Robson admitted: "Lee will come in Monday and we will see how he is. But we think he needs two weeks to get fit."
