Reports in the media are suggesting that Portsmouth want to sign Newcastle United defender Titus Bramble.
Bramble was expected to leave Newcastle at the end of the season when his contract experired after some poor performances.
But in recent weeks, the former-Ipswich defender has showed that he really has talent and may yet earn himself a contract.
Rumours in the media are suggesting that Portsmouth may try to sign the centre-back in January for a bargain price of £1 million.
Roeder is thought to not want to lose his defender until at least the end of the season with Newcastle having a real injury crisis, but Freddy Shepherd may want to cash in of the centre-back, and not let him leave for free in the summer.
Bramble is set to miss Wednesday night's game against Reading with a calf strain.
