It has recently been reported that Southampton and Norwich are interested in securing the services of Charlton Athletic's Nicky Bailey.
Since then it has emerged that Nottingham Forest are lining up a bid of their own and are closely monitoring the situation along with fellow promotion contenders Middlesborough.
The Charlton skipper is a key man for Phil Parkinson's side and was named in the 2009/10 PFA Team of the Year. He has made 89 appearances since arriving at The Valley in 2008. He has also appeared for the England "C" national side.
The Addicks boss has said of the situation, "I've always said I want to keep my best players and I'll continue to fight hard to do that."
