Sky Sports are tonight reporting that French trialist defender Zoumana Bakayogo has signed for Rovers on a short-term deal until January after impressing in two recent Reserve games in front of Rovers Manager John Barnes....

After a two week trial in which he impressed in front of Tranmere Manager John Barnes for Rovers' Reserve side, it is being reported tonight by Sky Sports that French defender Zoumana Bakayogo has signed a short term deal with the Club until January to add yet more options to a currently fragile back-line.
After making his first appearance in last week's 4-1 Reserve defeat against Rochdale in which he made a good impression despite the scoreline, the 23 year old former Millwall player played again in last night's 4-1 defeat to Leicester City's Reserves at the Walkers Stadium and it is now reported that he has signed a short term deal at Prenton Park until January.

Bakayogo is a Former Millwall Player
If the signing is confirmed by the Club tomorrow, Bakayogo will surely go straight into John Barnes's squad to face his former side Millwall at the New Den on Saturday afternoon and having played at left-back for the Reserves, may provide decent competition for youngster Aaron Cresswell.
Bakayogo becomes the third recent free signing by John Barnes after the signings of Kithson Bain and more recently former Leeds winger Seb Carole on a similar short term to deal to the one reportedly signed by Bakayogo today.
