Leeds United will play host to Premeirship leaders, Manchester United in this League cup third round clash at Elland Road.

Manchester United will be keen to put right what was seen as a major embarrasment when Leeds United, then in the third tier, beat them 1-0 18 months ago in the FA Cup.  Jermaine Beckford scored ont hat night but with the striker long gone, it will be left to current squad to attempt to repeat that success.

Manchester United, it is fair to say, are on fire having a 100% success in the Premiership and knocking goals in for fun at the moment but Leeds United seem to have developed a battling spirit, unbesaten in their last 6 outings - with 5 wins in that time.

Patrick Kisnorbo is serving a one match ban, but Grayson will otherwise have a full squad to pick from.  There are unlikely to be few changes from the team that beat Bristol City 2-1 on Saturday.  He may choose to rest key players given that the squad are back in action again on Friday night in the League game against Brighton.

Manchester United are likely to have their biggest guns on the bench but even the reserve Manchester United squad would be tough opponents.
