Leeds kick off the new season at Southampton on Saturday evening. Without a doubt the squad is a few players short, and several potential transfers have fallen by the wayside.
I fully expect 2 or 3 more faces in by the close of the transfer window at the end of the month, but these players ideally needed to be in a few weeks ago. So what kind of line up will we be looking at? The Newcastle game last weekend gave us a glimpse into Simon Grayson’s thinking In goal, Andy Lonergan is likely to get the nod. The back four should be Connolly, O’Brien (assuming his fitness is ok), Kisnorbo and Parker. Midfield of Clayton, Snoddy, Brown, Gradle and Howson, with McCormack up front. Places on the bench are at a premium as well with only 5 names subs, so there’ll be a battle on there. Assuming 4 outfield players will be there, then at least one of Bromby, Nunez, White, Paynter and Sam will miss out…
BB Worryingly we have not won a league game since 8th May when we beat QPR, the Championship title winners.
That's nigh on 3 months without a league victory.
Grayson Out! KB Out!!
BLOODY HELL ...you are right BB......sack em all !!!
Our simon isn't the problem at all with the players he's brought in and the togetherness he has created bates still has not to be judged yet ok so far this season no players have came in could of been for whatever reason but we should judge by what squad we have at southampton and how well we do come the first game of the season.
