8. Jemal Johnson

Position: Midfielder

Date of Birth: 03/05/1985

Nationality: American

Previous clubs: Manchester United, Blackburn, Preston (loan), Darlington (loan), Wolves, Leeds (loan)

American JJ developed something of a super-sub reputation under Paul Ince, after signing for £50,000 from Wolves in August 2007.

It was the following season under Roberto Di Matteo where Johnson really exploded onto the scene though, as some dazzling form around Christmas saw him finally nail down a first team spot on the left wing. With pace, power, a terrific cross and a very dangerous long shot, on his day JJ is unplayable.

Dons fans will hope the form that has seen him become an integral member of the team is not just a spell, and Jemal will be aiming to impress as a place in USA's Gold Cup squad in the summer becomes a real possibility.
