Tranmere Man of the Match: Oxford United (H)

Your chance to vote for your Tranmere Man of the Match from Saturday afternoon's 3-0 home defeat by Oxford United.......

Following the 3-0 home defeat to Oxford United on Saturday afternoon, we are asking you to vote for you Tranmere Man of the Match from the game as part of our post-match poll series.

Rovers played reasonably well in the first half of the game but the same old story of Tranmere's season returned as they failed to create too many chances and were hit by a sucker double punch in the second half as the visitors scored two goals in the space of a minute.

Fon Williams Owain (Action)

Fon Williams was forced to make a number of good saves for Rovers

The confidence seemed to drain in both the players and the fans present at the the game after Oxford's opener and although the substitutions seemed like they might revitalise the side it wasn't to be.  Defeats on the day for Hartlepool and Cheltenham mean that all other teams in League Two are safe apart from those two and Rovers and in the bottom three its as you were before today's game but with one less game left for Rovers to save themselves.

To vote for you Man of the Match from the game simply vote on the poll on THIS LINK.

Why? If people don want to vote they don't have to. For what it's worth we did reasonably OK until the goals so some people may want to vote...

Fair enough, im just reeling after that, first half, YES we had possession, but hasn't that been the story of the last few must win games?. Hardly a shot on target? . The only one worthy of a MOM is Hume, only for the fact he was the one most obviously realizing time was a factor right from the KO.

He and maybe Holmes too in terms of time awareness I'd say.

Up until the third goal, when I left, I would have gone for Humey who at least showed commitment effort and that he cared.

Anyone who showed commitment which would be fon williams, koumas, Hume, laird and Holmes. First time I have ever showed disaffection towards a team or manager in 34 years of watching tranmere. I am so dissapointed that a team of players in the main did not even try. Shame on you
