More Division 3 comings and goings

We last reported the latest club departures and entrances last week. However there has been a lot going on since then. Two clubs have released their entire first team squad! Ok, lets get down to it. A massive number of players have been transferring from club to club. Below of a list of them.

Rochdale manager, Steve Parkin has release EIGHT players from his squad, they are:

Chris Beech, Simon Grand, Neil Redfearn, Shaun Smith, Matt Doughty, Stephen Hill, Sean McClare and Lee McEvilly


Carl Pettefer, a 23 year old Midfielder from Portsmouth has agreed a 2 year contract with Southend United.


Doncaster Rovers have released 4 players in a bid to strengthen their squad for next season's Division 2 battle, they are:

Jamie Paterson, Rob O'Brien, Steve Burton and Barry Richardson

Also, Robert Gill and Chris Beech have been transfer listed.

JJ Melligan and Chris Brown, long term loanees at Doncaster Rovers have returned to Wolves and Sunderland

Kidderminster Harriers have agreed new contracts with Abdou Sall and Chris McHale

Sall agreed a 1 year deal and McHale a 2 year deal.

Goalkeeper John Danby and defender Steve Burton have been offered new contracts

Freshly promoted Torquay United have released Jimmy Benefield, Kevin Wills and Joe Broad.
Steve Woods has been offered a contract. Reuben Hazell, David Woozley and Kevin Dearden have all been offered new deals.

The club are also talking to striker David Graham regarding a contract extension

York City have cleaned the board by releasing ELEVEN first team players

Darren Edmondson, Richard Cooper, Mitch Ward, Chris Smith, Mark Ovendale, Christian Fox, Stephen Downes and Stephen Brackstone had all been released

Richard Hope has agreed a two-year deal with the Minstermen while Dave Merris has agreed a 12-month contract.

Hope and Merris will join Brass, Lee Nogan, Darren Dunning and Chris Porter are the only players to stay at the club for next season's trip to the conference.

Lee Hamilton has been offered a 6 month contract by Carlisle United

Scunthorpe United boss, Brian Laws has confirmed that Steve Torpey and Cleveland Taylor have agreed to a 1 year contract with the Iron's

Brian Horton is now the permanant manager of Macclesfield town, he saved Macclesfield from the drop last season

Swansea City have released Stuart Roberts, Jonathan Coates, Michael Howard and Kevin Nugent and legendary goalkeeper Kenny Jackett. Jackett has been at the swans for the last 13 years after he came from Chelsea.

Huddersfield Town have extended Paul Rachubka's loan spell at the club until the end of the month.

Cheltenham Town have signed Hereford United striker Steve Guinan for two years

Bristol Rovers boss, Ian Atkins has made his mark by releasing ELEVEN players from the pirates. Four contracted players, Ijah Anderson, Simon Bryant, Sonny Parker and Ryan Williams may leave on a free transfer. Atkins has also told out of contract pair Rob Quinn and Lee Hodges that they may speak to other clubs, although contracts may be presented to them.
Meanwhile, Kevin Austin, Adam Barrett, Ryan Clarke, Paul Tait and Danny Williams are in talks with the pirates regarding their jobs next season.
However, Neil Arndale, Danny Boxall, Wayne Carlisle, Bo Henriksen, Graham Hyde, Andy Rammell and Anwar Uddin are all out of contract and have been informed that they will not be offered new deals.

Leyton Orient have signed strike Lee Steele from Oxford United.

Oxford United manager, Graham Rix has released 6 of his first team squad.
Andy Woodman, Matt Bound, Lee Steele, Richard Walker, Manny Omoyinmi and Courtney Pitt have been relieved of their duties.
Paul McCarthy rejected a contract from The U's.
Meanwhile, Dean Whitehead, Chris Hackett, Scott McNiven, Andy Crosby, James Hunt, Matt Robinson, Jefferson Louis and Dave Waterman are all thinking over contract offers.

Unfortunately, Darlington FC midfielder Danny Mellanby has been forced to retire from professional football following a persistant back complaint.
The club spoke to a number of specialists but were left with only one option which no-one wanted.

Yeovil Town have released six players. Kirk Jackson, Nick Crittenden, Jake Edwards, Nathan Talbot, Ryan Northmore and Jamie Gosling will not play for Yeovil Town next season.
