Doncaster Rovers manager Dave Penny was appointed in January 2002. In his first season he led Doncaster Rovers into Division 3 following a massively successive season. The Rovers grabbed the Conference title and following promotion, immeadiately shot straight up to the top of the Division 3 table. Doncaster won Division 3 with ease, becoming the first team to get a double promotion in the football league. The massive success of Penny's reign has left Rover's fans with a feeling of disbelief. There couldn't be a more deserving manager of the month.
