KR returns from Suspension

Sunderland star Kieran Richardson will get the chance to help the Black Cats to move clear of relegation trouble when he returns from suspension at West Ham this Saturday. The central midfielder has missed the last two games, defeats at the hands of Wigan and Man City through suspension after reaching 10 yellow cards for the season. The ex-Manchester United player has been in good form this season and manager Ricky Sbragia is glad to have him back.

"Having Kieran back is a plus," said the Scot. "Kieran has been excellent this season and we've missed him in the last two games.

"Grant [Leadbitter] has come in and done well so we will have to have a think about the team for West Ham."

Calum Davenport, who impressed on his debut for Sunderland at Manchester City 10 days ago, is not eligible to play at Upton Park, for he is on loan from the East London club.

Sunderland are three points above the relegation zone in the Premier League with eight games left to play this season and are the bookies 5th favourite to be relegated this season.
