Big Sam gets his Man

Sunderland midfielder El-Hadji Diouf has signed for Blackburn. The Senegalese playmaker was reunited with Sam Allardyce this afternoon when he completed a transfer to Ewood Park, ending his short stay at the Stadium of Light. Diouf, 28, signed for Sunderland from Bolton last July and has made 16 appearances for the Black Cats, the last coming against Aston Villa earlier in the month.

He is cup-tied for next Wednesday's FA Cup fourth-round replay against Sunderland.

Diouf played for Allardyce, now the manager at Ewood Park, at Bolton for four seasons. The midfielder has also played for Liverpool since moving to England from France.

The deal is undisclosed.
